At Spirit Horse Center our philosophy on equine care is simple: Creating comfort and inner balance in a horse is essential to training, rehabilitation and behavior management, and allows for a lasting horse-to-human connection.
In addition to offering tradition stable services such as boarding, training and lessons for riders of all skill levels, we offer Special Services that create harmony between horse and human. They can be used for purely pampering your horse or in combination with a training or rehabilitation regimen. All of our Special Services are designed to help you build a safe, comfortable and lasting connection with your horse.

Equine Massage
Massage has many documented benefits, including:
- Enhancing muscle tone and range of motion
- Reducing inflammation and swelling in the joints, thereby alleviating pain
- Promoting the healing process by increasing the flow of nutrients to the muscles and aiding in carrying away excessive fluids and toxins
- Creating a positive effect on the contractual and release process of the muscles
- Releasing tension and relaxing muscles
- Stimulating circulation by defrosting frozen muscles, thereby releasing endorphins - the body's natural pain killers
- Helping maintain the whole body in better physical condition
Equine massage is offered by Lise Lunde, ESMT, who is certified in Equissage Sports Massage Therapy. Practicing since 2004, she has performed sports massage therapy on horses in a variety of disciplines, including leisure riding horses, therapeutic riding horses and performance horses in dressage and endurance training. She participates in both dressage and distance riding, experiencing the different physical demands of each. Her interest in equine massage grew from personal experience with one of her own horses that experienced an injury.

Reconective Healing and Pain Release Therapy is offered by Dr. Don Wasilensky DC, a retired chiropractor who now exclusively practices the energy healing and balancing technique of Reconnective Healing and Pain Release Therapy. He has had some amazing results helping horses and humans with back pain, illness and injury by balancing the energy fields in the body using a form of energy work called Reconnective Healing. He also uses the effective hands-on method of Pain Release Therapy to target and relax a specific area of the body, allowing it to naturally release any associated pain.

Raindrop Therapy features aroma therapy, using Young Living Essential Oils, massage techniques and heat to stimulate every organ, muscle and bone at a cellular level. It activates structural and electrical whole body alignment. Raindrop Therapy boosts the immune system and enables the body to release toxins. It also can be very relaxing and can be tailored using the oils to target a specific condition. Both methods are offered by Sue Grattan Young, Living Essential Oils Expert.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's life force energy is low then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person, including body, emotions, mind and spirit, creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. Both are offered by Nancy Lennon, a Reiki Master, Animal Whisperer, Angel Therapy Practitioner® and author. She has also studied T-TOUCH with Linda Tellington-Jones and Animal Communication with author Penelope Smith. She teaches many workshops has more than 13 years experience with horse owners, vets and trainers using a combination of Reiki Energy Work and animal communication.

We have a state-of-the-art facility designed to assist you with post-surgical or medical needs, including private paddocks and a trained staff. We will follow your veterinarian instructions for daily care and treatment following surgery, lameness and injury. You may also choose to complement traditional medical care with the Special Services we offer here such as Pain Release Therapy, Equine Massage or a session of Raindrop Therapy.

Behaviors are not always a result of an unruly disposition. Many behaviors can be rooted in a wide variety of circumstances, including discomfort, pain, fear, miscommunication between horse and rider, and a need for nutritional changes, equine dentistry, and proper farrier work. We evaluate your horse and work with you to tailor a plan using our classical training and horsemanship methods in combination with our Special Services helping you attain your goal of a true harmonious partnership. Our equine professional, Toni Wasilensky, has had numerous success stories in this area.

We offer a day of pampering for your beloved partner. Our equine spa/show treatment preparation packages will pamper your horse. Traditional show prep such as grooming bathing, clipping and foot soaks are available in addition to our relaxing Special Services such as massage and Reiki.
